We often get questions from our partners about how the BookBub curation process works: Why are some books selected for a Featured Deal and not others? Do we have a minimum review requirement? What can you do to guarantee your book will be featured in the BookBub email?
While we don’t have hard-and-fast rules to answer these questions, we do aim to be as transparent as possible with authors and publishers, so we’ve created the infographic below to explain our selection process in a step-by-step outline.
BookBub has always limited the number of books we feature in order to avoid overwhelming our subscribers and to ensure all our partners’ listings have an equal chance of performing well. So while every book that gets submitted to us goes through this process, only about 10%-20% of them will be chosen as a Featured Deal. We hope this graphic reveals just how tough those decisions can be for our editors!
