The average BookBub subscriber signs up for eight categories. What categories are your readers subscribing to? Do Fantasy readers disproportionately subscribe to Science Fiction as well? A few words about our methodology: The list below highlights the categories with the highest likelihood of crossover compared to the average BookBub subscriber.* For example, our Middle Grade readers are 856% more likely to subscribe to the Children’s list than the average BookBub subscriber. On the other hand, our History readers are 39% less likely to subscribe to Romantic Suspense than the average BookBub subscriber.
Here are some of the categories with the highest and lowest likelihood for crossover readers. Some of them might surprise you!
(And in case you’re curious, Fantasy readers are *only* 179% more likely to subscribe to Science Fiction than the average BookBub subscriber.)

*We chose this approach instead of showing the raw percentage of crossover readers because raw crossover readers would be skewed by our largest lists. For example, since Crime Fiction is our largest genre category, there is a very high likelihood that people subscribed to our smaller lists would also be subscribed to Crime Fiction.
Instead, by comparing the likelihood of crossover for subscribers of specific categories to the likelihood of membership by the average BookBub subscriber, we answer the question: What else are fans reading? For example, as you can see in the graphic, Middle Grade readers are 856% more likely to subscribe to the Children’s list than the average BookBub subscriber. That’s because while only 4.42% of BookBub readers overall subscribe to Children’s, 42% of Middle Grade readers also subscribe to Children’s.
